Ignorance can lead us down a dangerous path in our lives because it causes us to seek only temporary relief from anxiety and pain, which can result in more trouble in the long run. For instance, the monkey in the picture seems to be enjoying the surrounding views, but strictly from a Buddhist perspective, the monkey is also engaging in a non-virtuous action by sitting on the holy Stupa. Therefore, in my opinion, we should not seek merely temporary, less worthy gains, because these are only short-lived. Seeking and working for something meaningful and beneficial is essential in our lives in order to bring lasting peace and happiness for both oneself and others
