When we start to act like someone who is knowledgeable and wise, we have to be up to his or her level of knowledge and wisdom in order to actually bring benefit to others. Otherwise, we are just highlighting our own stupidity and showing others where we truly are. Thus, in my opinion, before we claim to follow in the footsteps of the wise and highly learned people, we have to acquire enough wisdom and knowledge ourselves to earn respect from others.
