Anger is a source of disharmony and unpleasant feelings. The more we tolerate anger, the stronger the anger tends to become, and eventually it consumes our hard earned merit and our very life. Thus, the moment anger comes in, we should not entertain it. Instead, we should immediately nurture patience by recalling all the negative effects of anger in our lives. Anger destroys friendships and it burns us inside and out. Moreover, the moment anger arises, we may notice that our peace of mind disappears and our beauty tends to be the hardest hit. Therefore, as Buddha rightly said, “There is no virtue like patience and there is no destructive course of action like anger.”
